If you’re reading this, I’m sure you’re curious who we are; so here goes! I’m Chancie, the owner and founder of Ruby & Pearl.
Funny story, I am no fashionista! I am a full-on tomboy through and through who prefers comfy over “trendy”! That’s why I love curating unique, stylish yet flattering pieces for all body types, especially the ever-changing mom-bod (since that is my current state! Haha).
I want to make every person that shops with us feel like a million bucks!
A little about me and how I came here to you: I come from a ranching family, who rodeoed some on the side as well. I grew up on several big ranches around the Northwest, and I wouldn’t trade that life for anything! My happy place is outside with the horses, and I loved working cattle with my family.
After high school, I followed my brother down to Texas for college and got to rodeo a little more (where else do you move to rodeo but Texas?! LOL!). Fast forward a few more years, and I am proud to say I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a minor in Range Management.
I thought my path in life was leading me down that road of what I really loved; horses and cattle and preserving that way of life. However, God had even BIGGER plans for me that only He knew! And that crazy, winding road of life we all travel down led me right here to YOU!
It all started when I found peace in painting and upcycling antiques and “throw-away” furniture in my downtime. I began doing trade shows, then renting spaces in other stores, and finally, in August of 2015, I opened up Ruby & Pearl in historic downtown Hillsboro, TX!
And WOW, what an amazing ride that has been!
We offer goodies to delight our customers ranging from gifts to home décor to the trendiest fashions for baby, toddler, tween, ladies, and curvy sizes. We pride ourselves in our customer service, which is second to none.
When I’m not serving each of you at the store, you can find us at home on our farm, at a rodeo or barrel race, or playing baseball. I LOVE looking for great places to go hiking with my family on the rare chance we get to vacation, and we try to get back to the Northwest to visit my awesome friends and family at every opportunity.
THANK YOU for being here! You have no idea what every single person who stops by and sees us, gives us a thumbs up, or shops with us does not only for my little family but for our entire team and our small community.
We hope to make some tiny difference in this big old world, in some small way, one person at a time. So don’t be a stranger; we’re here to help and support in any way we can!
